Registration Details
Registration Links will be provided by MIHC at the conclusion of tryouts with those selected for the respective teams.
DSMHL Discount
Players who play in both the High School League and the DSMHL will receive a discount on their DSMHL fees. You must register for High School first. The DSMHL discount is $100 for 16U/18U and $200 for 14U.
Unaffiliated Players from Summer
NEW THIS SEASON
Players that were assigned for the summer may stay with the team they played with for the fall. If they choose, they can attend the Unaffiliated Tryout on August 15th at 7:10 PM in Frisco for a New Team Assignment.
THIS ONLY APPLIES TO PLAYERS WHO WERE ASSIGNED TO A TEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SUMMER AND DOES NOT APPLY TO PLAYERS WHO PLAYED IN PREVIOUS SEASONS.
Varsity-State Tournament
Because of the changes to the USAH High School National Tournament there are changes to the TAHA High School State Tournament.
USAH has done away with the D1 and D2, Pure and Blended designations. TAHA will still offer multiple State Tournament Divisions but only 1 Girls team and 1 “Boys” team will represent Texas at Nationals. The “Boys” team will be the State/Playoff Champion of the AT&T MHSHL Gold Division. Schedule and format will be part of the calendar to be released in near future.
It will not interfere with Tier II playoffs or States. The Traditional 2A and 2B State Tournament previously held in late January will be held at the conclusion of the season in March.

For the 2024 season, all players will register and pay their fees to the league. The fee will include game ice as well as game expenses and coach’s salaries. The only fee not included will be a uniform fee which will be paid by the player to their Affiliated Club. Before registering with the league, you must have a 2024-2025 USAH Membership number ready.
- USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION 2024-25 will open in April.
PLAYER REGISTRATION LINKS WILL BE SENT TO EACH CLUB AFTER TRYOUTS HAVE CONCLUDED. CLUBS WILL FORWARD THE LINKS TO THEIR PLAYERS.
SafeSport Training
All players turning 17 or Older in 2024 will be required to complete the on-line SafeSport Training. This is a USA Hockey requirement, and players will not be able to play or practice or be rostered until this training is complete. Players should have their USAH registration number prior to taking the SafeSport Training. Below is a link to the SafeSport Training. You must take this every year.
